Previously playing under the name Jesmond Football Club, in 2020 the club decided to rebrand under a new direction compelte with a new name and visual identity.
Looking to do things their way on and off the pitch, NIFC look to show their proud Northern culture and everyting they love about their home city. They want to give the people of Newcastle a new team to be proud of.
The goat; the icon of the team, links back to the earliest days of the football club, when it existed as a 5-a-side univeristy team. The aim was to create a strong mark that represented the aggression and fight that the team has. With a a strong social media presence combined with success on the pitch, Newcastle Independent look to make waves within the football world.
